Description
The full-time permanent LHSC Float Technician will obtain venous and capillary blood specimens, perform urine collections and specimen preparations, conduct routine laboratory procedures, maintain test and control records, prepare quality-control reports, and perform equipment maintenance and calibrations. The role requires a laboratory technician program or equivalent experience, phlebotomy experience, medical terminology knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment. The position is based at various LHSC locations and requires satisfactory criminal, child abuse, and adult abuse registry checks.
