Description
De Lijn is hiring a Tram Technician for its maintenance center in Antwerp (PAL) to repair, install, and overhaul electromechanical components on trams, including pantographs, compressors, doors, brakes, couplings, and drives, as well as maintain mechanical and electrical systems. The role is a Monday-to-Friday day shift of 39 hours per week starting at 7:30 a.m., with an unpaid compensatory day off every four weeks. Applicants need fluent Dutch, a degree in electromechanics or equivalent experience, knowledge of mechanics and related systems, and a Category B driving license or willingness to obtain one. Compensation is €18.9317 gross per hour for a degree or relevant experience, or €19.8679 gross per hour for specialized or extensive experience, plus location and meal allowances, extra vacation days, public transportation reimbursement, and a bicycle allowance.
