Description
Agnico Eagle is hiring an Environmental Monitoring Specialist to report to the Supervisor, Environment, and oversee inspections, audits, compliance sampling, environmental monitoring, data compilation, QA/QC, and field data collection at the Meliadine Mine. The role includes coordinating with operations staff, liaising with external laboratories, mentoring new staff, and working safely in surface and underground environments. It requires a bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in environmental studies or equivalent qualifications, 1–3 years of environmental monitoring experience, relevant data and quality-control experience, field equipment and vehicle operation skills, a valid driver’s license, and strong analytical and communication abilities. The schedule is 14 days of work followed by 14 days for transportation and rest, with accommodations and meals provided on site.
