Description
Apple is hiring a Lead Engineer, AI Agents to drive the technical vision and execution of intelligent agent-based systems. The role leads the end-to-end lifecycle of AI agents, guides engineers in building and scaling reasoning, learning, and acting systems, integrates agents with Apple’s data and platforms, and addresses reliability, evaluation, and privacy-preserving architectures. The position requires 8+ years of software development or machine learning experience, an M.S. or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience, 4+ years of technical leadership, strong Python and LLM skills, and hands-on production experience with AI agents in large-scale hybrid environments. The work is based in Sunnyvale, California, with no remote work option.
