Description
The Engagement Specialist designs and leads student-centered after-school sports and recreation activities for youth in grades 6 through 12. The role plans intramural sports, introduces basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football, organizes competitions and leagues, promotes teamwork and leadership, creates inclusive programming, supervises youth, mentors participants, maintains records, and collaborates with YMCA leadership, school staff, and community partners. The position requires at least six months of youth engagement experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR, AED, and First Aid certification; it pays $19.00–$23.00 per hour and includes a free YMCA membership with employment.
