Description
The Telemetry Associate supports medical and nursing staff by continuously monitoring patient ECG rhythms, initiating tracing when rhythm changes occur, alerting nursing personnel, monitoring rate limits, recognizing machine malfunctions, and coordinating repairs. The role also performs clerical and receptionist duties under supervision, operates an online computer terminal, transcribes orders, and enters or corrects patient information. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospital experience is preferred, substantial computer-use experience or equivalent computer training, knowledge of medical terminology is preferred, and successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring program.
