Description
The Telemetry Technician assists medical and nursing staff by continuously monitoring patient ECG rhythms, initiating tracings for rhythm changes, alerting nursing personnel, monitoring rate limits, recognizing machine malfunctions, and coordinating repairs. The role may also perform clerical and receptionist duties under supervision and requires operating an online computer terminal. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospital experience is preferred, and must complete a three- to four-week basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring program.
