Description
The Telemetry Technician assists medical and nursing staff in continuously monitoring patient ECG rhythms, initiates tracing when rhythm changes occur, alerts nursing personnel, monitors rate limits, identifies machine malfunctions, and notifies repair personnel. The role may also perform clerical and receptionist duties under supervision and requires operating an online computer terminal. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospital experience is preferred, and must complete a three- to four-week basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring program.
