Description
The Telephone Operator provides a welcoming first impression for Premier Health by handling incoming, outgoing, network, and interfacility calls, providing on-call and patient information, and offering directory assistance. The role monitors and responds to critical alarms, communicates emergencies through the public broadcast system, wireless, Vocera messaging, and on-call scheduling systems, documents response teams and emergencies for regulatory reporting, and processes pages. The Atrium Medical Center operator also provides dispatch services, enters facility and clinical work orders, and communicates emergency requests. The position is part-time at 40 hours per pay period, with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires high school completion or a GED, 1–3 years of job-related experience, typing and keyboard proficiency, computer literacy, customer service, and strong communication and organizational skills.
