Description
The Telephone Operator provides a welcoming first impression for Premier Health by handling incoming, outgoing, network, and interfacility calls, providing patient and directory assistance, and responding to critical alarms. The role communicates emergencies through the public broadcast system, wireless, Vocera messaging, or an enterprise on-call scheduling system, documents response teams and emergency logs, and processes pages. The Atrium Medical Center operator also provides dispatch services, enters facility and clinical work orders, and communicates emergency requests. The position requires a high school completion or GED, typing of at least 30 words per minute, and 1–3 years of job-related experience; telephone operator or high call-volume management experience and customer service are preferred. The schedule includes varied days, weekends, holidays, and PRN work of 8 hours per pay period.
