The Temp Aide - Interpreter DHH supports deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing students, parents, and staff in academic settings by facilitating signed and spoken communication, assessing classroom setups, reviewing materials, supporting self-advocacy, and collaborating with teachers and IEP teams. The role requires current interpreter certification or licensure, a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in American Sign Language and other sign-language modalities, and the ability to work in varied educational environments. It may involve limited travel between schools and central offices and requires physical stamina and emergency responsiveness.
