Description
The Bilingual Education Teacher will instruct and support limited-English-proficient students in the English language, develop and deliver bilingual lesson plans, administer language assessments, monitor student progress, maintain records, communicate with families, and support classroom discipline and attendance. The role requires successful completion of student teaching and coursework for an Illinois teaching license, an Illinois educator license with a bilingual endorsement for the grade level taught, subject-matter knowledge, teaching and classroom-management skills, and the ability to work with students, parents, staff, and community representatives.
