Description
The Dental Assistant works under the supervision of a Dental Director and Community Health Center Manager in a dental health center and mobile dental center setting. Responsibilities include patient preparation and behavioral support, chairside assistance with restorative and surgical procedures, sterilization, radiograph taking and development, infection-control and waste disposal, patient education, outreach and sealant-program activities, and administrative support. The role requires high school graduation or equivalent, six months of Dental Assistant experience, dental radiograph certification, and the ability to perform physical and safety-related duties.
