The client is hiring a temporary DevOps/System Engineer for a three-month W2 contract in San Jose, California. The onsite role supports Linux and Windows servers, VMware and KVM virtualization, enterprise storage, infrastructure automation, network equipment, EDA and FlexLM environments, security, backups, and Tier III troubleshooting. Candidates need at least seven years of Linux system administration or system engineering experience, strong VMware and DevOps tool expertise, and the ability to work independently in enterprise and data center environments. The position pays up to $46 per hour, includes a 401(k) match, and does not offer insurance or visa sponsorship.
