Description
The School Bus Driver provides student transportation for regular routes, special-needs routes, field trips, and special events under the Director of Transportation. Responsibilities include safe driving, passenger supervision, vehicle inspections, loading and unloading, emergency assistance, route planning, and recordkeeping. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, full school bus driver certification, a valid California Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements, a Special Driver’s Certificate, DOT medical certification, first aid certification, and required background and health screenings. The position is temporary, on-call as needed, pays $24.96 per hour, and provides no contract or benefits.
