The University of Montana’s Defense Language and Security Studies Program is establishing a pool of temporary language instructors to provide intensive language instruction to U.S. military and government personnel in Missoula, Montana, or remotely. The role involves developing and delivering in-person and virtual lessons, preparing curriculum and materials, managing classrooms and Canvas, grading, counseling, and collaborating with lead instructors. Applicants need a master’s degree, language- and culture-teaching experience, curriculum-development experience, strong target-language proficiency, and advanced English; an Oral Proficiency Interview may be required. The position may require travel, does not offer visa sponsorship, and compensation depends on the position, duration, and the MUS Staff Compensation Plan.
