Mueller Water Products is hiring a Temporary Maintenance Mechanic for its new foundry in Decatur, Illinois. The role starts as a full-time temporary first-shift position, with possible future full-time employment, and involves installing, repairing, removing, rebuilding, and maintaining machinery, material-handling equipment, company vehicles, buildings, and grounds. Duties include interpreting blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, fabricating repair parts, welding and cutting, maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, training others, using machinist tools, preparing reports, computer use, painting, plumbing, and cleanup. Candidates need a safe work history, a high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, at least four years of factory maintenance experience and/or trade-school certificates, PPE readiness, mechanical hand tools, and overtime availability.
