Description
The Phlebotomist travels to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to draw blood from patients, identify and label specimens, complete requisitions, transport protected health information, maintain equipment and records, and coordinate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments. The role requires current clinical licensure where applicable, medical terminology knowledge, phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, access to a suitable vehicle, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
