Description
The Production Operative will work across multiple manufacturing departments, including VIM Melting, Raw Material Stores, Moulding Cast Stick, Stripping Cast Stick, Electrode Build/Stripping, VIM Finishing, and ESR. The role involves manufacturing products to standard, completing paperwork and route cards, following safety and operating procedures, maintaining production targets and equipment checks, reporting breakdowns, managing downtime, supporting housekeeping and waste procedures, and redeploying to other departments as needed. The position follows the PANAMA shift pattern, averaging 42 hours per week across 12-hour day and night shifts, and requires manufacturing experience, health and safety knowledge, and relevant forklift, overhead crane, and abrasive-wheel qualifications.
