Description
Lake County is hiring temporary road maintenance workers for a four-month period from December 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027. The role performs semi-skilled highway maintenance, including operating snowplow trucks and other equipment, repairing asphalt and concrete, controlling traffic, removing debris, trimming vegetation, and performing snow and ice control. Workers must be available for scheduled callouts during regular hours, after hours, weekends, and holidays, and the regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Class B CDL with air brakes, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in extreme conditions.
