Description
The Freight Terminal Manager manages, plans, and oversees freight operations for a local terminal, coordinating employees, resolving customer issues, interviewing and training staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, reviewing financial and operational reports, improving workflows, and supporting profitability. The role is primarily office-based but requires frequent dock and yard work, including exposure to weather, noise, dust, moving equipment, and occasional freight loading or unloading. It requires a high school diploma or GED, U.S. work authorization, English communication ability, and preferably a bachelor’s degree, seven or more years of terminal operations experience, and Microsoft Office and transportation management application proficiency.
