Description
Midland Garage Door is hiring a Test & Controls Technician for a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule. The role begins with wind-load testing and certification of residential and commercial door models under DASMA 108, including equipment accreditation, specimen fabrication, pressure testing, data collection, reporting, and regulatory submissions. After completing the wind-testing program, the position transitions to ongoing factory controls and engineering support, including PLC and HMI backup, troubleshooting, documentation, wiring audits, network upgrades, ERP-to-automation integration, and testing of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The position is not eligible for remote work, may involve infrequent travel, and requires a high school diploma or GED; a two-year technical degree in a related field is preferred.
