Description
The Antimicrobial Stewardship Focal Point will lead and support antimicrobial stewardship across a medical and surgical humanitarian hospital, including establishing a multidisciplinary committee, monitoring antimicrobial use, conducting audits, providing feedback, educating clinical staff, coordinating with laboratories and infection prevention, and supporting the detection and prevention of multidrug-resistant infections. The role requires a registered medical doctor with a valid practicing licence, at least five years of inpatient experience, and knowledge of pathogens, antimicrobial mechanisms, infection prevention and control, and diagnostic testing.
