1X is hiring a Test Engineer to build and operate end-to-end test systems for robotic hands and hand components. The role covers fixtures, instrumentation, electrical interfaces, controls, software, data collection, safety systems, automated testing, telemetry analysis, failure investigation, and reusable test infrastructure. Candidates need an engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience, plus experience developing test systems for complex electromechanical products and working with sensors, motors, embedded control, telemetry, and custom test equipment. The compensation range is $150,000–$166,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
