SPT Labtech is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team in Melbourne, Cambridge, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on system-level testing of complex electromechanical instruments, supporting new product development, and contributing to product sustaining activities. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams to develop and improve laboratory automation technology.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience working as a test engineer in an R&D or product development environment.
Strong system level testing capability, including end to end workflows and subsystem interactions.
Experience testing complex automated, robotic, or electromechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in life sciences, laboratory automation, or scientific instrumentation.
Familiarity with IEC 61010 safety requirements.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles and their application in product development environments.
Awareness of machinery safety legislation, such as the Machinery Directive / Machinery Regulation, and its impact on product design and testing.
Experience contributing to the development or improvement of formalised test practices within an R&D environment.
Exposure to automated liquid handling or sample management systems.
