Description
The High Voltage Test Technician performs final acceptance testing of large power transformers and their components in a high-voltage test laboratory within a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include control wiring and instrumentation checks, low- and medium-voltage electrical tests, transformer performance testing, high-voltage dielectric and impulse testing, test equipment setup, troubleshooting, and handling nonconforming materials. The role requires advanced electrical and high-voltage knowledge, proficiency with test instruments and schematics, and the ability to work safely at heights and with high-voltage systems.
