Tesla is hiring a Test Technician for its Drive Unit and Drive Inverter Test teams to validate the lifetime, reliability, and safety performance of inverters, stators, and drive units. The role involves independent testing with specialized equipment and test chambers, test preparation, destructive teardowns, troubleshooting, failure analysis, documentation, test-rig fabrication, and laboratory maintenance. Candidates need German vocational training or an equivalent technical education, strong electromechanical and electrical skills, computer proficiency, and approximately two years of hands-on electromechanical testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis experience.
