SGS is hiring a Gas Testing Engineer (Testing Technician) for a field-based role covering North London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, and the wider East Anglia region. The position involves onsite gas testing, sampling, laboratory dispatch, result review, reporting, customer interaction, and travel throughout the South East and East Anglia. No prior gas testing experience is required because full training is provided; candidates need an A-Level, BTEC, NVQ, apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent experience, a practical technical background, strong communication and report-writing skills, and a full UK driving licence. The role pays from £30,000 including a company van and offers private medical cover, a pension scheme, annual leave, and other benefits.
