Description
The Department of Developmental Disabilities is hiring a Therapeutic Program Worker to provide direct care and therapeutic support to residents with developmental disabilities. The role assists with daily living activities, promotes independence, implements recreational and activity programs, supports planning and shopping, completes documentation, performs light housekeeping, and helps redirect unsafe behaviors. No prior experience is required, but applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with five or fewer points, and basic arithmetic and English-language skills. The position offers $23.28 per hour, shift differentials, tuition reimbursement, medical coverage, dental and vision coverage after one year, and other leave benefits; mandatory overtime is required and the work is performed in a 24/7 developmental center.
