Description
The Therapeutic Recreation Intern will work under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in a long-term care setting, observing and participating in group programs and one-to-one interventions, building resident relationships, assisting with recreational programming, and supporting resident assessments, documentation, care plans, and interdisciplinary meetings. The internship is unpaid, scheduled for weekdays with occasional weekends, and requires the intern to be currently pursuing a degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or Activities Professional, meet their institution’s internship requirements, and be flu-vaccinated.
