Shield AI is hiring a Thermal Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and integration of thermal management systems for unmanned aerial vehicle avionics and high-voltage, high-power systems. The role involves heat-transfer and fluid-flow modeling, CFD analysis, trade studies, test planning, instrumentation, data analysis, and technical communication, while contributing to power electronics, circuit, enclosure, and material design decisions. Candidates need a relevant engineering degree, avionics or electronics thermal engineering experience, knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics, familiarity with thermal analysis and CFD tools, CAD experience, first-principles reasoning, and strong communication skills.
