Description
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Senior Thermal Engineer to lead high-fidelity thermal analyses across missile components, subsystems, fully integrated systems, and ground support equipment throughout the product lifecycle. The role owns thermal modeling strategy, preliminary hand calculations and reduced-order models, heating-environment analysis, thermal design criteria, technical reviews, customer and program presentations, thermal-vacuum and environmental testing support, instrumentation, data correlation, and coordination with structures, materials, propulsion, manufacturing, quality, and TPS teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, thermal analysis experience, familiarity with industry-standard thermal tools, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship is required. The full-time salary range is $118,000 to $219,100, with medical, dental, vision, flexible work arrangements, retirement matching, paid time off, and other benefits.
