Prometheus Energetics is hiring a full-time Thermal Systems Engineer in Bloomington, Indiana to own the design, modeling, testing, qualification, and lifecycle integration of thermal protection systems for solid rocket motors. The role covers TPS material selection, transient thermal and ablative modeling, subscale testing, post-fire correlation, failure analysis, manufacturing transition, and cross-functional program support. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, 4–10 years of experience depending on the Thermal Systems or Senior Thermal Systems track, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
