Description
Amazon is hiring a Thermal Test Engineer to support the development, qualification, and acceptance testing of satellite and ground components and subsystems for Amazon Leo. The role plans and executes thermal cycle and thermal-vacuum test campaigns, develops instrumentation and test fixtures, designs heaters and controllers, selects cooling systems, automates test execution, and coordinates with engineering and test resources. Candidates need at least four years of mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, prototyping, test planning, CAD, data acquisition, and automation experience; spacecraft thermal-vacuum testing, relevant standards, Python, and a relevant master’s degree are preferred. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of $117,300 to $160,000 annually.
