SLB is hiring a Simulation Software Developer – Thermodynamics Specialist to design, implement, and improve thermodynamic models and algorithms for its Symmetry process simulation platform. The role focuses on equations of state, activity coefficient models, property estimation, electrolyte systems, oil characterization, distillation, and phase-equilibrium calculations, with scientific software development primarily in C++ and Python. Responsibilities include software development, technical writing, validation against experimental data, publications or patents, and customer support, while requiring strong thermodynamic and numerical-methods expertise, experience automating complex workflows, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
