Description
The role is an academic master's thesis focused on developing an ultra-low-power embedded signal-processing strategy for a wireless accelerometer sensor used in railway bearing condition monitoring. The sensor uses a Cortex-M4 microcontroller and is battery-powered, so the work involves designing lightweight algorithms, minimizing RAM and CPU usage, quantifying energy consumption, and optimizing diagnostic performance against battery lifetime. The thesis is 50% research, 10% implementation, and 40% experimentation, and is based at Televic.
