Description
AstraZeneca is hiring two thesis students to investigate how corrugated cardboard waste can be reduced at its Södertälje pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The project will map material flows, quantify waste by source, identify improvement opportunities, and design and test a solution, with the goal of producing an evidence-based analysis, pilot trial or implementation plan, and scale-up plan with estimated savings. The work requires at least 50% on-site attendance during mapping and pilot phases, with remote work possible during analysis and report writing, and will be completed during the spring semester of 2027.
