Description
Vattenfall is hiring 1–2 students for a thesis project in the Power Systems & Operations Optimization department at Vattenfall Eldistribution. The project focuses on analyzing power-grid data, defining grid-status indicators, and developing visualizations and dashboards to describe the grid’s current health, resilience, and future risks. The project is for 30 credits, starts at the beginning of the spring 2027 semester, and can be based in Solna, Västerås, or Trollhättan with a hybrid work arrangement discussed with applicants. Applicants should be nearing the end of their academic studies, studying for a relevant engineering or data technology degree, speak fluent Swedish, and work independently; professional experience, prior thesis work, and a systems perspective are advantageous.
