Thesis Project – How Is the Power Grid Doing? at Vattenfall

Vattenfall is recruiting one or two master’s thesis students for a 30-ECTS project in the Power Systems & Operational Optimization department. The thesis will analyse grid outages, faults, KPIs, load situations, and operational deviations; define overload and complex operating situations; and develop grid-status visualisation concepts such as maps, dashboards, trend charts, and colour-coded risk levels. The assignment starts at the start of the spring 2027 term, with work opportunities in Solna, Västerås, and Trollhättan, and a final application date of 2026-10-18.
