Description
The Threadline Inspector inspects threads on tubular pipe joints for defects and conformance to specified tolerances in taper, lead, and threads per inch using precision gauges and instruments. The role also includes verifying gauge calibration and storage, checking other processes for quality conformance, marking threads for traceability, verifying material identification, communicating with the Thread Operator, and completing daily production and inspection reports. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required, and at least three months of on-the-job training or prior inspection experience is needed; OCTG pipe inspection experience is preferable. The position requires basic reading, writing, arithmetic, manual dexterity, communication skills, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in loud, hot, or extreme-weather conditions.
