Ontario Health is hiring a permanent part-time Tissue Recovery Coordinator for the Barrie/Huntsville region. Reporting to the Manager, Ocular Recovery - Tissue, the role performs surgical recovery of human eye tissue from deceased donors, supports recovery of other tissues, assesses donor suitability, screens and processes tissue, collects samples, maintains documentation and equipment, performs quality control, and coordinates with healthcare professionals and the Provincial Resource Centre. The position requires a health sciences-related degree or diploma, preferably four years of relevant experience, a valid unrestricted Class G driver's licence, reliable vehicle, extensive travel, 24-hour on-call availability, lifting ability, aseptic technique, communication, confidentiality, judgment, teamwork, and fine motor skills.
