Ontario Health is hiring a permanent part-time Tissue Recovery Coordinator in Ottawa and the surrounding region. Reporting to the Manager, Ocular Recovery - Tissue, the role performs surgical recovery of eye tissue from deceased donors, supports recovery of other human tissues, assesses donor suitability, screens and packages tissue, collects samples, maintains documentation and equipment, and performs quality control. The position involves significant regional travel, weekday and weekend 12-hour on-call rotations, and requires a relevant health sciences education, preferably four years of related experience, a valid unrestricted Ontario Class G licence, reliable transportation, aseptic and quality assurance knowledge, strong communication, confidentiality, judgment, teamwork, and fine motor skills.
