Description
The Tissue Recovery Specialist 1 performs various duties related to the surgical recovery of specific tissues like corneas, split thickness, and full thickness skin for transplantation and research. This includes assisting specialists in the operating room by preparing bodies for surgery, draping, circulating, packaging, and labeling tissue grafts according to SOPs. The role also involves adhering to OR etiquette and universal precautions, participating in a 12-hour rotating call schedule requiring nights, weekends, and holidays, and potentially traveling to regional offices and hospitals within the donor service area.
