Description
The Production Materials Clerk coordinates tooling, consumables, inventory, purchasing, and material delivery for a manufacturing shop. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining tool kits, issuing drill bits, paint, sealant, and other materials, managing inventory accuracy and cycle counts, staging components for work cells, supporting receiving and forklift operations, and communicating shortages to manufacturing and purchasing. The role requires technical or mechanical aptitude, teamwork, attention to detail, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent basic skills; overtime, weekends, and extended hours are strongly preferred. The work environment involves moving mechanical parts, moderate to loud noise, and physical lifting and standing.
