Description
The Tool Maker 3 builds, repairs, and maintains custom machine-shop tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, molds, and prototypes for manufacturing operations. The role operates lathes, grinders, milling and CNC machines, reads blueprints, calculates tolerances, inspects work with precision measuring equipment, maintains safety and housekeeping standards, and may mentor junior machinists. It requires a high school diploma, 5–10 years of prior manufacturing experience in a metalworking environment, strong shop math and GD&T skills, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying shifts or weekends as needed.
