ABB is hiring an onsite Tool Room Manager to lead the design, engineering, fabrication, maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of carbide progressive stamping lamination dies and associated metal components for its St. Louis motor lamination and parts departments. The role supervises toolmakers, machinists, and apprentices; manages tool room operations, budgets, capital investments, inventory, equipment, preventive maintenance, and documentation; and drives operational excellence through root cause analysis, process optimization, and corrective actions. Candidates need an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or manufacturing discipline, at least 8 years of tool and die manufacturing experience including 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, and work authorization to work for ABB in the United States.
