Description
Antares is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design, development, fabrication, qualification, and implementation of tooling and ground support equipment for manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, installation, service, and decommissioning of R1 microreactors. The role covers 3D CAD and engineering drawings, mechanical analysis, ergonomics, load and material design, supplier and fabrication coordination, field installation and checkout, and lifecycle improvements. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least three years of experience designing mechanical hardware, tooling, fixtures, or ground support equipment are required; the position is based in Torrance, California.
