Description
Assystem is hiring a Tooling Designer / Mechanical Designer in Derby for permanent and contract roles supporting the submarine’s new build and development programmes. The role covers full-lifecycle mechanical design of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and components; outline and detailed design; risk and opportunity management; budget and programme estimation; product documentation; and design modification. Candidates need mechanical engineering experience, knowledge of design codes and materials, budgeting and project-lifecycle planning skills, and familiarity with 3D CAD and PLM systems. The role is subject to security and export-control restrictions and requires at least Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
