Description
SpaceX is hiring a Tooling Engineer for its Starmind AI satellite program. The role owns manufacturing-line tooling for orbital compute hardware, including developing in-house CNC machining capability, optimizing parts and assemblies for manufacturing, coordinating across design and production teams, implementing automated machining controls, procuring and maintaining machine-shop equipment, reducing costs, managing capacity and schedules, researching materials and manufacturing technologies, and estimating manufacturing costs. A bachelor's degree in engineering and at least three years of CNC machining experience are required; advanced 3D CAD, Siemens NX, and high-volume design-to-manufacturing experience are preferred.
