Description
The Tooling Engineer manages and designs die-cast and trim tooling for automotive production and prototypes, including die and runner design, cooling systems, vacuum and seal design, tooling optimization, root-cause analysis, and tooling build oversight. The role requires 5–10 years of high-pressure die-casting experience, mechanical or industrial engineering education, CAD proficiency, and knowledge of casting tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing analysis. It is a regular permanent position primarily on a manufacturing plant floor, with heavy lifting, confined-space work, travel, and flexible hours or overtime.
